Built in anticipation of Scotland hosting the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the National Indoor Sports Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome aims to provide ‘one of the most versatile and innovative structures of its type in Europe.’

During the games, it was one of the key venues, hosting both the Badminton and Cycling events, whilst outside of the games, this state-of-the-art sporting venue forms a major part of the games’ legacy, helping to develop the next generation of elite Scottish athletes.

With versatility and innovation paramount in the design brief, Sport Alpha UK were commissioned to install a number of items that meet these parameters, including motorised sports walls, competition and practice throwing cages, a pneumatic sandpit, a training sandpit, upward-hinged, height adjustable basketball goals and recessed volleyball posts, to name but a few.
